Although today many venues are licenced to carry out weddings, a lot of couples still wish to have their ceremony in a church because of the long tradition, and because they wish to have a religious ceremony, as opposed to something like the register office.

Churches come in all sorts of sizes and can be massive buildings with ornate architecture and, of course, stained glass windows. Equally, they can be a small building in a country village far from the “madding crowd”.

Either way, if you are going to get married in church you will need church wedding decorations, and at Kenza Creations we can provide whatever you need.

One of the things that you can do is to adorn the church entrance with a bold pillar of flowers on each side. This sets the tone for the ceremony, and it will make the guests feel very welcome from the get-go. If there are steps up to the entrance with railings on each side, as some churches have, you can decorate the railings with streams of flowers as well.

Some churches have the font set at the rear of the knave so you could decorate that with flowers too. So, the entrance may be to one side of the church, so you enter and come to the knave and then turn right, or left, to the pews. Decorating the font in this case will produce a great image as bride and groom leave after tying the knot, and as everyone turns and leaves after them.

The Pews

Then there are the pews themselves, of course. You can add tall arrangements of greenery to the end of each pew, creating a wonderful green aisle for the bride to make her entrance on the arm of what is traditionally her father.

Another thing that you can do is to decorate the pew ends with small bouquets, or perhaps every other pew end. If you don’t want to use flowers, you could adorn the ends of the pews with lanterns or even candles in a suitable container.

Of course, you will also want décor for your wedding reception, and you can let your mind run wild with the wedding centrepieces. One idea that is popular at present is to create each table number out of something such as painted foam or twisted wires and beads and place it in a container surrounded with flowers. Not only does it look great, but your wedding guests will be able to locate their table easily.
